If you are following me on Instagram you would probably remember my last trip to Bangalore from where I had shared a snap of two shopping bags from Mango and Forever 21 with some goodies inside! I had also mentioned that I would be doing photo-shoots of my shopping very soon. Well, here you go! This is the first thing I bought from Bangalore, a pretty lace skirt from Forever 21. I chose this skirt because I knew I’d be needing a lot of itsy-bitsy summer clothes to beat the heat in Ahmedabad. (Please forgive me if I complain too much about the weather in the next few months!)
Coming back to the styling, I couldn’t think of anything other than creating a very feminine look with the lace skirt. A touch of sequins, gold and high heels seemed just right. But I also added a bit of edge with a slightly messy hair-do. I hope you enjoyed my look of the day and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
Also, I would like to share with you that I have recently joined a cool app called Frankly me which allows me to interact with my readers through a video chat. So feel free to ask me any question regarding fashion, style and shopping through frankly.me/SarmisthaGoswami and I will be answering them all in a video!
See you soon with another post. Have a great Monday!
It’s summer and it’s time to take out all the bright colors, summer shorts, pretty dresses and comfortable tees out of the wardrobe and get ready to bask in the golden glory of the summer sun! I am not quite a fan of the Indian summer as it gets too hot and humid here, but I am definitely a huge fan of the lovely summer clothes. If there is one fashion item that I can wear over and over all summer, it has to be printed T-shirts! They are cute, fun and supremely comfortable as summer wear and the best part is that they can be mixed and matched in so many ways to dress-up for an evening or dress down for a casual day out.
Today, I decided to share a quick compilation of my favorite kind of printed T-shirts which can make anyone look cool, stylish and trendy this summer! Read on…
Who doesn’t love a dose of flower power once in a while? Florals become all the more appealing during summer and and that is why floral printed tees top my list of favorites. Whether it’s a crop top, a loose boyfriend tee or a fitted turtle neck, a floral printed T-shirt is a must have in every wardrobe!
We all have a strong message to give to the world (or so we think!) or sometimes we just need an inspirational quote to boost our moods. But the moment you wear your ‘mood’ on your T-shirt the day starts looking a lot brighter! Don’t you think? Grab a cool slogan Tee to beat the heat and speak a thousand words without uttering a single one!
Do the doodle!
There are days when you are in a seriously quirky mood when a quirky graffiti T-shirt can instantly bring in some vibrance to a boring day! Graffiti tees are forever young and manages to bring a smile even on the dullest day! I personally love the cartoon tees and doodle art in this category. Do you have any favorites?
Photographic prints look great on T-shirts and there are numerous variations available in the market to suit every style and taste. I also love the fact that they can be personalized with your own photgraphs too. Photographic Tees are trendy and look great with a pair of denims for a casual evening out with friends.
I hope you enjoyed my summer favorite compilation and I look forward to knowing your favorite pieces to wear this summer.
As it progressively gets unbearably hot in my place, I am trying to distract myself with all things soothing and comfortable. Citrus being a beautiful summer colour and quite a treat to the eyes on a super hot summer day is inspiring me lately to incorporate more of citrus into my life! It’s fun, lively and so versatile that it’s easy to find citrus in fashion, art, architecture, painting, lifestyle articles and not to mention, food! I am seriously feeling a lot cooler as I write this post and look at the Citrus inspired images and I hope it can offer you a dose of inspiration to make your mid-week more vibrant!

It’s been incredibly hot these days and going out for an outfit photo shoot during the day is next to impossible. So I essentially pick the early morning or evening hours for all my outdoor blog activities. Precisely for the same reason you will find my hemlines getting shorter to match the kind of temperature we are experiencing currently in Ahmedabad! However, the heat of course couldn’t deter me from wearing this cool faux leather skirt. Agreed it’s faux leather and not the best material for summer, but it’s short enough to give ample comfort.
Of late I am into mixing contrasting fashion elements in my outfits and quite effortlessly thought of pairing the biker skirt with a slightly feminine floral printed shirt. Boohoo is gradually becoming one of my favourite high street fashion brands and I love the black Boohoo bag that I am carrying in the photographs! Another of my recent Boohoo purchase here!
I am really curious to know your favourite fashion brand(s) and how the weather is like in your area right now? So drop in your comments till I prepare for my next blogpost

When the weather gets warmer and humid, comfort is the only thing that comes to my mind. But of course, since it’s summer, I also love to add some bright colors and prints to my outfit. So today’s outfit is basically a mix of comfort with style.
We visited Thol Bird Sanctuary for a day trip and it was just amazing! Thol is about 20 kms from Ahmedabad and is a great place to spend a day amidst nature doing some exotic bird watching. I chose to wear these tropical palm printed loose pants as they are not only beautiful but equally comfortable. Teaming the pants with a loose crop top, orange beaded necklace and a studded clutch is all I needed to enjoy my day. I tied my hair in a messy plait for it to go well with the casual and comfortable look that I was sporting today. However, I did not wear my heels to walk around, I wore them just for the photo shoot as they looked fashionable enough with the whole outfit! As soon as the photo shoot was over, I pulled out my sneakers from the bag and started trekking around
It was a day well spent and I hope you enjoyed my outfit post today. Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram to check out more photographs from my trip to Thol.

Yeah, the pre-monsoon rains have started in my city. It’s a good news coz it has significantly brought down the temperature and the bad news is that it has become all the more difficult to do my outfit shoots. But I love my blog way too much to get dampened by the downpour!
Let me share my ‘wet’ story of the photo shoot today. I was super excited to find this cute printed summer dress, styled it to perfection and headed straight to the outdoor location with my husband which we thought was just the right one for this look. The moment we arrived at the shoot location it started raining heavily and in a few minutes the rain turned into a mini storm! We waited for the rains to stop for almost half an hour and when it didn’t, I decided to take the rain on my stride, walked down and gave my best poses playing with my wet hair going crazy in the wind! And who says sunglasses are only for the sunny days, in the rain they work wonders in keeping the droplets off your eyes while doing a crazy blog photo shoot!
Would love to hear your thoughts on my look of the day! until next post!

I am a crazy cat lady (crazy dog lady as well, if such a term exists!) and it’s obvious that I will represent those cute furry creatures in my outfits and inspirations as well, isn’t it? You might have read my recent Inspiration Wednesday : Feline Love post and here I am weaning cat again! Mixing contrasting elements is a part of my style and today I chose to mix a casual ‘meow’ printed top with a classy pencil skirt. All black always works but I added a bit of white as well with the Aztec bucket bag (also featured here) and zebra printed heels (animal print again! ) I love how comfortable and stylish this look is and would love to know your thoughts as well!
No matter how much progress we achieve in digital technology, the hand-made and handcrafted art will always hold a very special place amidst all the digitization! I recently visited a handicraft fair and came back with an experience that is inspiring and definitely worth sharing. Therefore I decided to dedicate my Inspiration Wednesday post of the week to all things handmade and handcrafted in all its glory. The compilation of images range from art to photography, fashion to lifestyle and I hope this post is able to inspire you enough to try your hands in some craft or at least appreciate them all over again.

I am always into bright colors and prints and the summer season gives me all the excuse to wear more of them. Although lately I am gravitating more into classy pieces but that can never stop me from bringing out the little girl inside me from time to time with some really cute and casual outfits. I designed a collection with light weight corduroy fabric for my office and this yellow dress is a part of my designs. I was quite pleasantly surprised to find corduroy absolutely comfortable as a summer wear. This particular fabric is a 26 wales cord in 5 oz.
That’s more of technical information for those who are into fashion design but for the rest of the fashion lovers let’s get into styling! I teamed this cute yellow dress with a pair of yellow tinted sunglasses. It’d have been almost an yellow overdose day had I not added some extra colors with a denim shirt. My all time favourite black pumps (you must have seen me wearing them in a lot of outfit posts before) quite completed the look like they always do!
Thanks for reading and do pour in your thoughts on my look of the day!
