Have you checked my post Autumn/Winter 2015-16 : Fashion Trends I Love where colour red is one of the hottest fashion trends of the season? Well, rightfully so. After all who is not absolutely in love with red? Most of us may not want to wear red head to toe, but I am sure we all have at least some accessories, a red dress or at least a red lip colour for sure. I am of sure a sucker for bright colours and red tops my list most often. Only recently I sported a head to toe red outfit in my post Retro Red! Hence proved, I love red and that’s why I am spreading the love by writing about my colour inspiration this Wednesday. Here is a compilation of red colour in fashion, beauty and lifestyle and I hope this post will be able to inspire you in someways as well.

Hey lovely readers, How is Monday treating you? As for me, I am buried under tons of work as always. But I am also glad my blogging life is not suffering any more and I am able to post regularly as before. Today I am in a mood for some prints and wore this lovely printed dress to add some colors to my life! I picked this dress from my favourite online store Jabong (India) and teamed my outfit with my all time favourite fringed bag from Boohoo. Yes, I am wearing a lot of my favourites today! The weather is a lot more bearable lately which is why I could manage to pull off my tights along with the dress and I kind of love the whole feel of winter approaching. It’s a great feeling living in the tropical part of the world.
As mentioned in my previous post Cord + Denim, my hair is yet to behave itself and a hair cut has been long over due in my to-do list. But nonetheless, if I am not myself on my blog, where else will I be?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and comments on my look post today and hoping you guys are having a pretty decent Monday, unlike me!!

Just because I am a fashion blogger doesn’t mean that I have perfect hair and skin and body type 365 days a year. In fact I am like most of you going through bad hair days, bad skin days and days when I cannot fit into my favourite little black dress! Considering I am into fashion blogging and am also a fashion designer, I might know a bit more about fashion and style than the average folks, but that no ways mean I am blessed in terms of the rest of the skin and hair related problems. In one of my previous posts I shared my skin care tips for acne prone skin which clearly shows that I work equally hard like any of you to fix my skin, hair and body related issues. Why am I talking about being a real human being is because of late I am going through bad hair months! I got a hair cut few months back and am not quite fond of it. In this look post for instance, I am not 100% happy with the way my hair is behaving, In normal situation I would work hard to fix it in a way that they look well maintained at least in the photographs but today I decided not to do anything about it and kind of give a glimpse the real honest me to my readers and show you guys that I am in fact no different from any of you!
Now, coming to my look of the day, am keeping it cool and casual today. I work as a designer in a company where I design collections in corduroy as a part of my work profile and this shirt is a part of my recent collection. I fell in love with the color and wash of this shirt so much that I chose to keep a piece for myself! Am teaming the same with a pair of white denims from Mango to create a really laid back yet stylish look and I hope you like it!
Wish you a great weekend and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on my look post today!

Fringes are my latest obsession. No wonder I already have too many fringed items in my wardrobe. Ever since I realized fringes are going to be a big hit during the winter fashion as well (read my post Autumn/Winter 2015-16 : Fashion Trends I Love) I am getting more and more into it. You must have seen this bag from Boohoo several times before on my blog, and here goes a fringed skirt to compliment my bag!
One classic style tip, when you have more than one statement piece in an outfit, keep the rest of it really simple. I did exactly the same if you see. The skirt and the bag are the attention seeking elements of my look, so I teamed them with a basic black oversized top and black pumps. Since it was more an evening look I wore red lip color and a dangler in my ears. Nonetheless, the rest of it still looks pretty balanced giving enough highlight to my fringed possessions!
As promised I am going steady with my blog posts now and I have a lot of new fashion and style posts lined up for the next couple of months. Can’t wait to share them all with you very soon.
For those of you who are new to my blog or have missed some of my earlier posts, I also have an You Tube Channeland if you are looking for any fashion, beauty and style tips or have any question in general, do ask in the comment section below, on my Facebook page, or in twitter with the hashtag #styleovercoffeeQ&A and I would love to answer them all through a video in my YouTube Channel.

It has been a relaxing week for me and a much deserved one after too much of work. Am keeping a bit unwell but nonetheless enjoying my holidays sitting at home and doing nothing. Also I have started working out after many months now and hopefully will stick to the routine even after my office re-opens.
Today’s outfit is more of a casual evening wear, teaming a black pencil skirt (have also worn it here) along with a cropped printed blazer. The loose black crop top added comfort and the casual feel to the dressy look. I also threw on a statement necklace for some extra fun. As far as the shoot location is concerned, I always love playing with nature and so does my husband Pankaj who clicks my blog photographs. There is so much one can play around amidst the light and shade of trees, leaves and anything to do with nature. Its simply awesome!
I hope you enjoyed my look post of the day. While I am a bit unhappy that my holidays are coming to end rather too soon, but I am also excited to show you a lot of new posts in my blog. So stay tuned!
On this week’s Inspiration Wednesday post I am talking street style. A lot of my personal style post inspirations come from street fashion across the globe and it’s also a visual pleasure to watch various interpretation of fashion and style. I made of compilation of Street fashions of Spring Summer 2016 Fashion weeks from four cities-London, Milan, New York and Paris and I am so sure you are going to love this post!
London : Classic, Casual, Relaxed
The London Fashion week Street style was towards being casual and comfortable. The silhouettes were loose and relaxed with a reflection of the individual personalities. Colors varied from brights to pastels to earthy tones.
Milan : Playful, Quirky, Fun
Quirkiness with a heavy dose of fun was splashed all across Milan fashion week street style. Playful mix of patterns and colours stood out the most along with some real innovative silhouettes.
New York : Easy-Breezy, Youthful, Laid-Back
The New York Fashion Week street style was all about being laid back, while maintaining an youthful factor. The silhouettes were easy to wear and at the same time trendy. Mixing comfort and style was the key element!
Paris : Bright, Bohemian, Edgy
Paris Fashion week Street Style was very bohemian with a lot of ethnic prints and vibrant colours. The silhouettes were flowy and feminine with fringes and layerings adding some edge.

A long holiday of 5 days is starting from tomorrow and I can’t wait for today’s day to get over! While I wait eagerly for my holidays, let me take you through an interesting outfit of the day. Do you remember my post DIY : Denim Cut-Offs with Lace? Well, I finally got the time to style the denim cut-off shorts that I created in that post and do a photo shoot of the same. My idea was to make this look a bit casual yet feminine and that is precisely the reason of teaming a shimmery shrug and a straw hat with lace details to it. Winter must be approaching fast in some parts of the world but here in Ahmedabad the days a still a lot warmer to wear anything to do with winter. So am glad I can still wear my lace shorts for some more time.
I am keeping my post short and sweet today as I am really excited to rush back home in sometime and relax for the next few days enjoying my holidays. Don’t forget to share with me your thoughts on my look today. See you tomorrow with an inspiration post!
Before I leave, I wish a very Happy Diwali to all my Indian readers!!

‘Missing in Action’ is a common term to use when you are juggling your blog with a full time job and yes, I had been seriously out of action on my blog due to the same reason. There has been way too much of work load lately and my blog suffered as always. But I finally made a come back with a splash of red! So you see how much I love blogging, I keep coming back to it no matter what!
I have a lot of new outfits to share with you all and I wanted to start with a real colourful one. I am a sucker for bright colors and prints. However, I do take a break from them from time to time to explore other colors! But you will often find me talking about colors a lot. While shopping online for some shirts I came across this heart-printed red shirt and I absolutely loved the retro feel of it. That very instant I visualized this entire outfit but unfortunately had to wait for a long time to do a photo shoot of the same. I finally managed it today, teaming the shirt with an old pair of red jeans from Mango and these retro pair of sunglasses.
I sincerely hope this outfit will be able to compensate my ‘missing in action’ and I am eagerly waiting to hear what you have all been up to while I was away! So fill me in soon
Either you are blessed with a problem free skin or you work hard to get one! There are no two ways about it. I am sorry to reveal the harsh truth but that’s how things are! I am definitely not one of those lucky few born with a great skin. In fact I have a very sensitive skin that can break out at the drop of the handkerchief. So I really need to take a lot of care to keep my skin acne-free. Here are some skin care tips that I have found to be extremely helpful and I hope they can help you too. Read on
Keep you face clean all the time. An unclean face with pores clogged by dirt and make-up is one of the prime reasons that causes a skin to break-out. So, even if you have had a tiring day and want to crash into your bed the moment you reach home, do your skin a favor; remove all traces of make up, clean your face with a face wash for sensitive skin and rub some moisturizer before you hit the sheets. Use a scrub once or twice a week to clean your pores further and it will really help keep acne at bay!
Deep cleansing once a week helps a great deal in removing break-outs and maintaining a healthy glow in the skin. Use steam and face packs of your choice to deep cleanse. Read my post Beauty Au Naturel on natural skin care that can be extremely beneficial in finding the right ingredient for your skin type.
Keep your hands off your face
We all hate acne and want to get rid of them as soon as possible, but touching your acnes, picking on them is seriously going to do more harm than good. The best practice is to absolutely ignore your acnes no matter how hard it may seem and of course your skin will thank you in return!
I understand that most of us try to skip the moisturizing part as to not aggravate the existing pimples and acnes but did you know that if you do not use moisturizer your skin tends to produce more oil to keep it hydrated? A moisturiser is an integral part of skin care routine even if you have a very sensitive skin. Look for moisturisers with ingredients like salicylic acid, aloe vera, tea tree oil, sandalwood oil with antiseptic and oil control properties that can significantly control acne and keep the skin hydrated and glowing.
Choose you make-up Carefully
We all love to put on some make up and hide those little flaws of our skin, but wrong make up can not only ruin your looks but can create havoc on your skin health as well. Look for products that are meant for sensitive acne-prone skin. Ideal make-up items for acne prone skin are non-comedogenic (that do not clog pores) and oil free. Ensure you read the information well before investing on your next concealer, BB cream or foundation.
Flush out toxins
Your overall health reflects in your skin so try to maintain a healthy lifestyle and keeping yourself clean inside out is the first step towards achieving it. Drink a warm glass of water with lemon and honey the first thing in the morning to flush out all the toxins and increase your water intake all through out the day. Avoid too much of caffeinated drinks and take resort to fruit and vegetable juices whenever you can. Healthy fluid flushes out toxins from the body and help prevent acne to a great extent.
Certain food are proven to be enemies of acne-prone skins and you’d love to avoid them at any cost. Try to keep your consumption of deep fried food, too much of sugar and refined flour to a minimum. However, not all kinds of food may effect everyone, so you’ll also need to see what kind of food items cause your skin to break out. For instance, I haven’t put coffee in the list but coffee (because it’s not scientifically proven that coffee can cause your skin to break out) in particular has given me my worst days of acne!
We all know the positive aspects of regular exercise but did you know that working out regularly even for half an hour can actually do wonders to your skin? A simple half an hour of cardio can make your skin sweat, there by opening up all clogged pores and pushing out all traces of dirt and oil that eventually lead to break outs.
Get Good Sleep
A good night sleep goes a long way in keeping you healthy and same holds true for the health of your skin as well and keep your skin acne free. Try to get regular and timely sleep of at least 7-8 hours every night. Try to maintain a regular sleep cycle and avoid late night caffeinated drinks that can hamper a sound sleep.
Relax and Stay Happy
Keep calm and stay happy at the end of it all. Loosing sleep over one acne can lead to just one thing, more acne! Stress has been a proven cause of acne and that is why maintaining a healthy, happy lifestyle goes a long way in getting a healthy glowing skin.
Dress : GCGme / Bag : Miss Bennett London / Shoes and Jewellery : Local Shops in India
I am forever a sucker for beautiful prints and a cute printed dress is all I need to create a stylish everyday look. Needless to say I was quite excited when I got an opportunity to collaborate with GCGme and select a dress of my choice from their exquisite collection of dresses. I absolutely loved the print and color of this dress and the empire waistline along with the flared sleeves made it so unique and beautiful. This dress perfectly matched my personal style and I couldn’t wait too long too style it with a pair of oxford flats and a printed clutch for a day out. I kept my make-up and jewellery very simple with just a bit of eyeliner and red lips. A dress this beautiful deserves a lot of attention and my idea was to let it stand out! GCGme has a lot of very pretty dresses and though I picked a short printed dress for myself, their collection of maxi dresses is quite a treat to the eyes!
If you wish to shop for pretty dresses like the one I am wearing or if you are looking for maxi dresses online, do visit GCGme site and you will be spoilt with choices!
