All New Style Over Coffee!

by

Welcome to the all ‘new’ Style Over Coffee; a Fashion, Travel and Lifestyle Experience!

We have evolved, we have changed and we got ourselves a make over matching our new identity.

For the last 6 months me and Pankaj have been spending every waking hour of the day (and night) into creating a new look and feel for the blog. I am going to share every bit of our experience and I can assure you this is going to be a long post. I might have to split it into two part as I have so much to share.

So, grab some coffee, get into your pajamas and get ready for a long read!

When we started Style Over Coffee a couple of years back, I seriously didn’t know what I wanted to do with it. I wasn’t sure whether it would remain just a hobby or turn into a profession at some point in my life. In fact, I didn’t even know if our blog would survive the first 3 months. But today, after almost 4 years, I know that I have grown out of posting random outfit photographs and writing 2 paragraphs about what I wore, why I wore and how was the weather in my place that day. While it’s cute to see newbie bloggers doing their ‘random ranting plus photograph’ do on the blog, frankly I am not that, not any more.

Gone are the days when I would tell Pankaj on the breakfast table about doing a photo shoot for the blog and a very lost Pankaj would look outside to see if the natural light is good while I go and quickly put together a random mix of garments. We would drive off to ‘some’ location that is not-crowded and get started with our photography. We come back, I edit photographs and put them up on the blog with a quick write up about my so called outfit of the day. Repeat every third day!

After near about zillion such outfit shoots we had two options, either to put an end to Style Over Coffee (painful!) or grow up (sounds better!) We decided to grow up. We are not just a random fashion blog any more.

We would like to see ourselves as a Coffee Table E-book compiling fashion, lifestyle, travel, beauty and our recent and most popular series of Blog Tutorials.

From this point on we have decided to get matured, push our limits, go the extra mile and bring the very best of content and photography, to the best of our abilities of course!

That no ways means I will not be posting outfits any more. In fact personal style is still an integral part of Style Over Coffee. But we are a lot more focused, refined and may be for some of you, more inspirational than ever. We wish to extend our limits in bringing you the best of a total lifestyle experience.

Of course this big change is just one baby step and what I am sharing today is partly a bit of our big plan and partly a sweet dream. We would constantly need your love, support and feedback in every step of our blogging life! I sincerely hope you will be a part of our beautiful journey and be our well-wisher, our worst critic and our very best friend! We can’t do anything without you! Seriously!

We have kick-started the new look of Style Over Coffee with a series of photo shoots wearing this pretty Little Black Dress from Rosegal. It’s a part of my collaboration with the site and I had been saving this dress for a very long time to tag it with our blog makeover post. This is to let you know that I do collaborate with fashion and lifestyle brands but only the ones I like. I still take time to pick my own items from the brands I work with and so far I am not a part of any PR listings and do not get random free stuff sent to me that I personally don’t like! Hey, I don’t want to sound condescending and am not saying there is anything wrong in doing so. Just that I haven’t done it as yet!

I am cutting the long story short now, though I know I can go on and on when it comes to talking about our blog. But I hope you will like the new look of Style Over Coffee and will share it with your friends too!

the new look is doing great so far! What you said about putting together random posts really got me thinking… That is not what I want to do either, however, I think the most important thing about writing your blog is to have fun and just be yourself 🙂 xx Eliane

Thank you Eliane and I totally agree with you. As long as one knows what he or she is writing it’s perfectly ok. You can totally have your own style of expressing yourself. I had lost track of my words at one point of time and was typing junk just to fill the space. That is not what I would want to do any more! 🙂
