Cheers to Basics!

by

My off-duty uniform is a pair of fitted jeans and a t-shirt most of the time. Sometimes the t-shirt gets replaced by a classic button down, but nonetheless, the basic wardrobe essentials have always been my favorites when I am not under any pressure to dress up.

However, I do like to add something fun to my everyday basic looks just to experiment a bit and today I added a bright red color to my basic outfit.

Me and Pankaj had been working really hard for past few days and today we had to go out on a much needed break. Nothing fancy though, it was just a trip to our favorite coffee shop for a quick take-away followed by a long drive towards the outskirts of the city. Seemed like the right occasion to pull out my favorite wardrobe essentials.

I have been wearing these pair of dark navy jeggings from Pepe for ages now. Since I repeat a lot of my clothes on the blog, you might have already seen these jeggings in at least a dozen of my outfit posts. They have such a great fit that no matter how old they are, I cannot get enough of them. Plus they are extremely comfortable. I paired the jeggings with a navy striped button down shirt, my all time favorite denim vest from Mango, added a pop of red lip color and a red sling bag and was all set!

Lucky, I found a red coffee cup matching my outfit too! So, like many other fashion bloggers, I too carried my coffee cup as an extra accessory. Wink!  It did work well!

I love how one can play around with the wardrobe essentials, team them with something statement (be it a color or an accessory) and create new looks every single time. Cheers to the basics! What would we have done without you!!

Almost 6 months post baby I can finally fit back in my high waisted dark blue jeans that were the staple of my wardrobe. I am very excited to have them back!
