Shorts suits have been in trend for a while and today is the first time I am actually going to add one to my personal style. While this is more of a mix and match kind of shorts-suit, a ‘tone-on-tone’ one tops my wish list at the moment. Many of my friends have shared that they find it a bit tricky to style a shorts suit, so thought some of my readers might be going through the same problem too. So, along with my personal style photographs I am going to share some style tips to put together a shorts suit as well.
1.The shorts essential need to have either a formal or a dressy silhouette. Which means that if you team your denim or casual shorts along with a blazer, that is not quite a shorts suit!
2. Experiment with the length of the shorts. If you are not very tall, keep your hemline shorter which essentially gives the illusion of longer legs! Taller girls, go ahead and wear just about any length you like.
3. The blazer can of the same color or fabric, or you can try a mix and match version like how I have worn. Again if you aren’t very tall (like me) keep the blazer a bit short. A cropped blazer or one that ends right above the waist band of the shorts can look amazing!
4. Last but not the least, wear a pretty blouse, a casual top or a formal button down shirt to complete the look.
5. Don’t forget to wear some cool accessories to create your own signature style!
As you know I like to experiment with my style a bit, so I paired my printed shorts with a black cropped blazer and wore them with a basic white tee to add some edge. High heels and sunglasses complimented the styling and added loads of attitude to it!
I hope you liked the post and found my style tips on wearing a shorts suit useful. I have recently started my YouTube Channel and planning to do a ‘Question & Answer’ video periodically.
