Personal Style blog is not just about showing what I wear but also to create new outfit ideas to inspire the readers. I constantly strive to put together outfit combinations that are unique, inspirational and at the same time something that a real woman can try out as a part of her everyday (or special occasion) look. Playing around unpredictable colors and patterns is a fun way to style an outfit and this is a trick that I try out very often to put together new looks for my blog posts. Today I chose to do exactly that with  classic (and everyone’s favourite) pencil skirt to create a monochrome style.

With a classic striped pencil skirt the most obvious choice would have been a black top, but I wore a black and white printed shirt instead to turn it into a classy monochrome style. Adding a dash of color to almost any outfit I wear has always been my signature style and this look post wasn’t any different in that aspect! 🙂 Check out the cool tribal printed red clutch and the all time favourite red heart pendent! I was a bit apprehensive initially about putting together this look but this complex mix of patterns did give good results! 🙂 I always take the opportunity to thank my husband Pankaj (co-founder and photographer of Style Over Coffee) for making me look good on the photographs!
