I have been juggling many roles along with being a Fashion Blogger and most often my beauty routine gets disrupted due to lack of time. The result is of course not very pleasant. So this year I am taking my beauty care very seriously and making a set of new year resolution that will not just be to take care of my facial skin but will be extended to my hair, hands, feet, nails and all other ignored areas of my body. The idea is to be body beautiful, get a healthy skin and hair and feel good from inside.

1.Declutter my beauty space : I have beauty products that are more than 3 years old and products that I have never used for a very long time. It’s time to get rid of them and make room for stuff that are fresh and that I am really going to use regularly. This is the first step towards getting into a healthy, regular and achievable beauty routine.
2.Invest in quality rather than quantity : I am somewhat impulsive when shopping for beauty products and I have at least three different moisturizer and 5 different lipstick with the same shade. Quite unnecessary, isn’t it? Therefore, instead of sticking to a lot of beauty and make-up items I am going to invest in quality products, have less of them but will have really good ones.
3.Learn the beauty ingredients inside out : Salicylic acid, glycolic acid and retinol should not be alien terms to anyone who take their beauty routine seriously. After all good skin and hair is a part of good health. In 2016 I am sure to make a effort and learn as much as I can about all the important ingredients that goes into my beauty products so I can pick the ones that really suits my skin and hair type.
4.Work out a skin and hair care routine : I am really tired of sticking on and off my beauty routine. I want to create a regular beauty regime and this time am actually going to stick to it.
5.Show some TLC to my hands and feet : Beauty is not restricted to just the face, hair and neck. I have always known that and yet, God knows why, I mostly ignore my hands and feet! This year my beauty resolution includes being body beautiful and I am going to give as much importance to my hands and feet as my face and hair. Regular manicure, pedicure, intensive moisturizing and everything that is needed. Bye, bye chipped nail paints!

6.Detox : Yes detox! I beg of myself to do this to my skin and hair at least once a week. I will be off make-up and any harsh chemicals once a week and get close to nature. That one day of the week by beauty routine will comprise of natural products, home made face packs and natural hair oils.
7.Get much needed beauty sleep : I am a Designer by day and a blogger by night, quite naturally my sleep schedules are hectic. But, as a part of my new year resolution, I promise to give myself the much needed 9 hours of beauty sleep every night and there are no two ways about it.
8.Get some Vitamins : Vitamin supplements are not just good for health they sure give an extra glow to your skin, hair and beauty in general. I had always been postponing to include vitamin supplements to my life but not any more. I got my bottle of pills today and finally starting with this very important beauty habit!

9.Learn New Make-Up tricks : Honestly I have been sticking to the same make-up style for ages. Although I do know what suits me but there is no harm in learning a new trick or two. This year I am sure to venture out of my comfort zone and figure out new ways of doing up my eyes or try out a new shade of lipstick. 10.Drink more water! : I do drink a lot of water and have shared that simple and effective tip many times on my blog but while on the go I tend to ignore that very basic good beauty habit that goes a long way in keeping skin glowing and hair shiny! A small of water is a must-have in my bag in 2016.
Last but not the least I am going to stick to my new year resolution! New Year Resolution are not made to be broken, they are for good and although I am capable of promiscuity when it comes to sticking to a new year resolution, but I dare not break it this time as I feel I have abused my skin and hair quite a lot by now! Also, one piece of advice that goes out not just to me but to everyone reading this post, love yourself the way you are. Beauty care definitely can improve your skin and hair but you may not achieve perfection that you might have in mind. Learning to accept your positive and negatives is the best way to stay happy in life!
