Happy New Year to all you beautiful people! Wish you a very beautiful and successful 2018!
I took a pretty long break from my blog starting from Christmas and seriously didn’t want the break to end. After all who doesn’t want to be on a holiday all the time? But I am also looking forward to the New Year and have made a lot of plans for 2018 as I always do in the beginning of a year. Also, let’s not forget about the New Years resolution and that is what this post is all about!
I do not always talk about my New Years resolution on the blog because frankly, it is quite pointless to do so.
I hardly stick to any of my resolutions. But I recently realised that when I do a post on my resolutions on the blog, I tend to take them more seriously. I posted my beauty resolutions on the blog 2 years back and I can’t believe I am still following them! So, I thought I should start 2018 by sharing my new years resolution and knowing about your resolutions too 🙂
Travel : Travel always tops my new years resolution list. I love to travel. I love to explore new places and cultures, try out local food, meet new people. It is also such a great way to de-stress and take a break from routine life. We couldn’t travel as much as we wanted last year because both me and my husband were quite unwell most part of 2017. But this year I resolve to travel as much as I can. So, keep following me on social media if you aren’t already and stay tuned to all the updates 🙂
Take Care of my Health : 2017 was really bad for us health-wise. I suffered from Anaemia and took several months to recover and Pankaj got hospitalised for pancreatitis. We always take care of ourselves but maybe somewhere we started taking things too easy. It’s one of my resolutions in 2018 to eat healthy, take my vitamin supplements and see the doctor at least twice a year for a complete health check up. Prevention is better than cure!
Learn a New Skill : Learning something new is always a good idea but most often we cannot take out time for it or get too lazy to do so. This year I resolve to learn something new. I have been reading a lot of food blogs lately and getting interested in trying out new recipes. I would love to do it more often and learn to cook as many new dishes as I can. Photography is an integral part of every blog, mostly for a fashion blog like mine. Yet I fail to understand what stopped me from learning photography until now. Pankaj clicks all my blog photos and therefore I never bothered to learn it on my own. I am surely going to start learning photography soon.
Work Out : I have always been into fitness some way or the other. But due to my health problems I had to take a lot of breaks from working out. last year I joined the gym but couldn’t continue for more than 3 months. 2018 will be my strength training year. I have also started a new HIIT cardio training that I am going to continue. Will keep updating you on these! 🙂
Start Painting Again : Not many of you would know about my interest in painting. I mention occasionally on the blog but mostly I don’t because I am terribly out of touch. Now that I work from home I do have some free time to indulge in my hobbies but laziness gets the better of me. I resolve to start painting all over again and share some of my paintings on social media too. Who knows, I might start selling them too! Let’s stay positive and open minded about it 🙂
Get involved in Animal Charity : I am a huge animal lover and Animal Charity is one thing I always wanted to get involved in. This year I am very serious about starting with it. I am already researching on some organisations to get started with and I can’t wait to share a bit of my good fortune with the helpless furry creatures in exchange for loads of love!
Get more organised : I wouldn’t say I am highly disorganised, but guess there is always a room for improvement in this area. Right from making to-do lists to buying desk organisers and planners, I am all set to get more organised this year.
Upgrade my wardrobe : Being a Fashion Blogger it is all the more important for me to constantly keep updating my wardrobe and that is something I always do. But it also of utmost importance to get rid of old items to make room for new ones. My style has significantly changed since I started blogging and I have a lot of items that I do not relate to any more. This year I am planning to organise my wardrobe as well and upgrade it in a way that I keep only those items that I will be wearing and discard the ones I don’t need any more.
Spend time wisely : Time and tide wait for none. Wasting time on unimportant activities, people, projects or even replying to an unimportant email is something I am no longer doing this year. I have wasted a lot of time last year meeting people and discussing projects that never materialised and I did it with all good intentions and positivity. All these experience taught me a lot to not waste even a single minute of my life on unimportant things. Needless to say I am a lot more choosy this year about who and what to spend my valuable time with.
Learn a New Language : Learning a new language make it’s way to my new years resolution every time and then, like always, I never get started with it. 2018 is bound to be different as I have already started with my German lessons. Hopefully by the end of the year I will be able to have a conversation in German!
