Top : Forever New / Jeans : Lee (with DIY Distressed effect) / Denim Jacket : Mango / Shoes : Jove / Jewellery : Local Shops in India

As its starting to get quite warm here in my city, I thought of this to be a good opportunity to try the pastel fashion trend for Spring. I was never much into pastel shades but starting to get comfortable with them lately. I guess that is one of the best part of fashion blogging, you dare to venture out of your comfort zone and try on new trends. Pastel shades always look so pretty and feminine, I am sure I was missing out on a lot by not wearing the pretty pastels before in my life. I am talking about those days when I was not into fashion blogging. I somehow always felt pastels would not suit my skin tone. But that pastel fashion is quite hot for Spring/Summer 2014, I started out by buying one item at a time. This pretty pastel pink top is from Forever New and I love the sequins detail in it. Since the top is pretty and a bit feminine I added a bit of edge to it with my DIY-distressed denims (to know about this DIY click on the link) and a denim jacket. The shoes and jeweleries are in the neutral color scheme as well to retain the over all soft and pastel feel of my outfit.

I am really curious to hear your thoughts on my pastel look today, more so because I am wearing it for the first time! So drop in your  thoughts and comments below.

Have a great Monday!! 🙂

I am the same as you, never went for pastels. Not because i don’t like the shades , i love them but I feel they won’t look good on me. I don’t know. However, they are back in full swing and i am really tempted to buy my first pastel clothing piece. The other day when I was in Zara, i did try it and I love how it looked on me. I completely agree with you that blogging definitely helps you kick our comfort zone and try and do things that we have never done before or try out colour or outfits that we were petrified of even touching LOL I love your top, those pearl beads are my favourite and pairing with distressed denim completes the look. Feminine and edgy, loving it. Iy looks good on you, should try more pastels, definitely suits you xx Naaj Ronas Lifestyle
