I wish this black ruffled top was a tad bit longer and I could wear it as a dress!
I might have worn exaggerated ruffles only as a child. Don’t even remember when was the last time I bought anything with over-sized ruffles. No, I wasn’t embarrassed of wearing them or I didn’t think ruffles were only for kids. It’s just that you tend to fall in love with some trends more than others and perhaps ruffles wasn’t one of my top 10 favorite trends earlier.
So, here is how I do my fashion shopping, mostly when I am buying a latest trend and not the basics. I make a list of the trends that I wish to buy and then go out looking for options. I was planning on buying something with statement sleeves when I bumped onto this ruffled top.
It was like mixing two trends of the moment- statement ruffles and statement sleeves.
I wanted to avoid buying anything in black for a while but this top was so cool, I am sorry but I couldn’t resist.
A statement piece changes everything and today the ruffled statement top is the highlight of my outfit. However, I chose to add some colors with a statement bag as well : an embroidered handicraft piece picked up from a flea market in India. Isn’t it beautiful?
In case you like anything that I am wearing today, I always put links to similar products along with outfit details at the end of my look posts. feel free to check them out!
Bye for now and I hope your week has been awesome so far!
Happy Wednesday guys! See you soon 🙂
