Long live the sneakers as a fashion trend! Until a while back a pair of sneakers were synonymous to gym wear only. Those who didn’t care much about looking fashionable were the only ones who sported sneakers in public. I used to wear sneakers on days when I wanted comfort and not much of style. But that story is not applicable any more.
Sneakers are a cool fashion trend today and as I aptly put it on the title of the post, a life saver for me when looking for that dream combination of comfort and style.
I shared my first athleisure look recently and to be frank, I was one of the late adaptors to that trend. Clearly it was not quite my style. I do like adding a bit of edge to my everyday outfits and am not entirely comfortable with the overtly feminine look, but athleisure was still too much for me. However, recently I made up my mind to try this trend and I realised I could in fact pull it off well. Of all things athleisure, I found the sneakers just the right thing for me. Bad footwear can really spoil my day and my mood and though I love the look of those towering high heels on me, I do crave comfort when I have to walk around a lot. The fact that now-a-days one can wear a pair of sneakers with almost anything is truly a great news.
But before I start talking more about my outfit of the day, I owe you all an apology. This post was supposed to go live yesterday but the internet connection decided to play up delaying my schedule. Nevertheless, glad I could at least publish it today. I wore this outfit during our trip to Sikkim and on the day when we went sight-seeing. Of course we had to walk around a lot and comfort had to be the priority.
These sneakers came in really handy and I was happy once again that finally fashion is as much about comfort and utility, as it is about looking good.
My outfit is pretty classy yet trendy that ways, as I teamed stripes with a pair of black culottes. A pop of red with the bag and little scarf around the neck and I could do away with the typical tourist look!
This photo shoot was done in a busy area in M.G Marg of Gangtok city. I always wanted to do a photo shoot against a wall art and I found this beautiful wall right in the middle of the city. Had to make the most of it! I have already shared some images of this wall art on social media and most of you loved it too. So, guess my choice of background is perfect!
Hope you enjoyed my look of the day. Check out the outfit details and links to similar items at the bottom of the post. I will be back with more outfit inspiration and lifestyle trick and tips soon.
Bye for now! Take Care!
