Street Fashion : Multicoloured Pencil Skirt

by

Pencil skirts are elegant, classy and timeless, not to mention feminine.

Thanks to the new trend of adding a casual twist to any and every kind of outfit, a pencil skirt is no longer just an office staple or a formal event attire.

One can actually wear it with a pair of sneakers and a over-sized tee while running errands. I think I have mentioned before that I love pencil skirts and today I decided to wear one for my street fashion shoot. While I kept my style a bit dressy suitable for evening wear, next time I do intend to style this pencil skirt in a more casual way.

For me, it was love at first sight with this multicoloured pencil skirt! But I waited so long for it to go on sale and guess I was really lucky to still find my size.

It is not very difficult to come up with super cool street fashion ideas with a statement piece like this multicoloured pencil skirt!

I can already think of a dozen of ways I can style this skirt. That could be my next video post showing you how to style an item from my wardrobe in many different ways! For this street fashion post, I have teamed my pencil skirt skirt with a pretty top with rufflesΒ and high heeled sandals for dressy evening look.

My pencil skirt is definitely the highlight of the look and if you like it as much as I do, you can check out the brand details and links to similar products at the end of the post. I am adding a quick fashion tip here, if high heels aren’t your thing, you can sport the same look with a pair of wedges or sneakers too.

Don’t forget to let me know your thoughts on my look today. I am also very curious to know how would you style a similar skirt. So, drop in your comments below! πŸ™‚

I’m a little bit scared of pencil skirts. I’m not sure they suit me, but you look fabulous. I do have a leopard print one that’s been in my closet for some time, maybe it’s time to bust it out! Thanks for sharing, Leanne x

I adore this outfit, it looks so amazing how you matched the colourful stripes with the black ruffled top. Pencil skirts – especially the strechy ones – are my favourite, the sad thing is that I cannot find a maternity version of them anywhere πŸ™ (I’m 6 months pregnant and my belly is already soooo big, I can’t stand regular waist skirts and trousers at the moment πŸ™‚ )
