So, here I am once again doing a monochrome look with a pop of color. I am wearing a striped shirt with a matching striped bag and happy to be out and about! Hello Everyone!
Life of a fashion blogger is not so easy, more so if you are in a country like India. My blog is still a start-up and I am yet to set up a lot of things. A studio in-house is in our ‘to-buy’ list. Without that we are always dependent on the natural light and our blog schedule gets severely effected when it rains. Plus, going out in the public to do photo shots is pretty difficult. If you are from India, you’d know what I mean. Today while I was doing this photo shoot I was stared at by a dozen of people. Some even stood around for a long time watching us, clearly with the intention of making us uncomfortable. Some left us weird remarks as they passed by. A group of ladies wondered aloud if I was a ‘guy’ or a ‘girl’ as apparently they couldn’t make out my gender!! I know I have to be thick skinned and trust me I am quite thick-skinned. 90% of my photo shoots are done outdoors and without a thick skin I couldn’t have managed to do it. But sometimes it gets to me. I don’t understand what’s the big deal if a girl poses for a photograph in public! Seriously!
I miss Ahmedabad more than ever now as I never had such experience ever. Neither did I had any issues in Bangalore, where I lived for a while. I hope with time, people of the great ‘Gateway to North-East’ will learn to grow up too! Till they do, may be I will pick early morning hours when the roads are less crowded. But for now the best time to do a photo shoot is when it’s not raining.
A bit about my look of the day, am wearing a monochrome striped shirt, high-waist jeans teamed with a striped bag. Both the items are bought from Jabong. I have added a pop of color through the bag and necklace. You might have see me trying this new hairstyle before in my Floral Summer Fashion look post. Well, I have grown comfortable enough with this hair-do to wear it again and again.
Thanks for waiting around for my posts (at least I would love to think you do!) Will see you soon with a new one. Till then, please pray that the weather remains suitable for regular photography.
