Comfort is a luxurious word. In a fast-paced material world where everything moves at a lightening pace, getting comfort with the help of technology is rather easy and that is not the kind of comfort I am talking about.
It’s the comfort of accepting yourself the way you are, the comfort of taking a pause from your busy life and enjoying the smaller things, the comfort of making mistakes and laughing at it are what truly counts as luxury because such experiences are so rare.
I always talk on my blog about comfort being an integral part of my personal style, but lately I am extending the same philosophy to other areas of my life as well. How comfortable am I in taking things slow once in a while, in accepting the inevitable? Well, not much. Am I getting too philosophical? May be, but that is somewhat my current state of mind is.
Of late I am trying to press the pause button of my life little too frequently and take time out to do things that really matter to me. To me that is comfort and that is luxury in true sense because I haven’t had the time to really pause for quite a long time.
My outfit today truly reflects my inner feelings. I am truly integrating comfort into my personal style, not just in terms of fashion but also in terms of attitude in general. I am taking a walk with Pankaj enjoying the beauty and greenery of nature, relishing the winter sunshine, laughing like crazy and talking silly and of course wearing a mix of comfort and style. I feel more alive today, more in peace with myself and definitely happier! I am going to do it again, pressing the pause button that is. And whenever I do you’ll see a new side of me.
Going back to the details of my outfit today, I am wearing a blue blazer along with a pair of mint cord pants designed by me and zebra printed pumps. Mint, cobalt blue and zebra print may seem like a strange combination, but of course I am talking about the luxury of comfort here. The comfort of trying out new things without having to worry. Besides I am quite known for taking colour risks as a part of my personal style!
I will be posting more of such intense thoughts in the future. If I can’t express myself on my personal blog, where else will I, eh? For now I hope you enjoy my post and relate to my thoughts.
Stay Happy! Keep Smiling!
