I can’t believe we are still in Ahmedabad! We had plans of leaving the city on the 10th and instead we are stuck here until the 16th of the month! Not that I dislike Ahmedabad or anything, but when all your things are packed and you are just counting days for some silly papers to arrive from the bank, it’s definitely not fun. We are terribly bored and so decided to do something fun today just to kill time. We visited the Thol Bird Sanctuary, nearly 35 kms from Ahmedabad city to do some bird watching and photography. Since it’s summer, we started off early morning just to avoid the noon-time outdoor activities, which are anything but pleasurable with temperature soaring up to 45 degree Celsius. But if you can ignore the temperature a bit, Thol is perhaps one of the best places to visit in India! It was indeed relaxing and a good break from the boring days that we are living lately.
In Style Over Coffee, we love to cover travel and lifestyle too, so I thought of giving you a glimpse of our travel details along with my look of the day. However, I will keep the travel and lifestyle part short and sweet for today and would love for you to check out the stories from our day trip to Thol on my SNAPCHAT (@styleovercoffee). However, once we get back to Guwahati and settle down a bit, I will be doing quite a few detailed travel posts for your pleasure. In similar line with one of Pankaj‘s posts sharing the best places to visit in India for Fashion Inspiration. But there will be a lot more, of course!
For my look of the day, I quickly threw on a comfortable day wear anticipating a more than usual humid day. With more than 90% of my clothes packed, I have very little to wear anyways. At least my accessories are not packed yet and I found this matching jewellery set to go with the outfit. My look is kind of basic as I didn’t really want to dress up to visit a bird sanctuary. But this light-weight pink shrug quite saved me not just from the sun but also from looking too blah! When around water, I often take off my shoes and like to get my feet wet. As you can see I am without a pair in the photographs. I know I am not quite in shape for a crop top. Waiting to get back to Guwahati and start working out immediately.
That’s all for now and hope you enjoyed the post. Have a great day and don’t forget to leave your thoughts and questions on the comment section below! if you have any specific questions about visiting to Thol, do shoot them at me too. I have been there like a dozen times! Remember what I said before? It is indeed one of the best places to visit in India!
