At the onset, I wish you all a very Happy 2021!
Hope the New Year brings happiness, prosperity, good health and all the things that your hearts desire. Hope 2021 is nothing like 2020.
As much as I tried to stay calm and positive, I couldn’t! The situation got to me, leaving me uninspired, demotivated and lethargic. The place I live in currently isn’t inspiring in any ways, even on a normal day. Therefore, even though the lockdown was lifted quite a while back from my city, I still couldn’t manage to get my motivation running. I spent most of my time watching Netflix and stress eating, and I may have put on a few extra kilos.
Nonetheless, the holiday season did get me excited! And finally after gorging on party food one last time, I have decided to get my life back on the track.
I have started running again and have definitely cleaned up my diet a lot. Though it’s been just 11 days, trust me, I already feel so much better!
The moral of the whole story is that life will throw the most unexpected situation at us, but we really got too keep our shit together! I know I am not in it alone, but I also know that different people have very different ways of dealing with a stressful situation. If one can handle it better doesn’t mean others will have the same level of strengths to do so. My heart reaches out to all those who are still suffering from the aftermath of Corona and still living in social isolation. Thankfully, things look a lot better in where I live.
This year, I promise myself to live each day as it comes. That is the biggest lesson I learnt from last year and from the unprecedented circumstance that came upon us.
My take on Fashion has changed a lot as well. While browsing through my wardrobe, I realized there are so many clothes I own that I haven’t worn even once! Also I have items that are probably older than a decade! I have decided to embrace Slow Fashion. Though I have always been a sensible shopper, going slow with my fashion purchases makes all the more sense at a time like this. I will talk more about Slow Fashion in a separate post.
For now, let’s talk about my outfit of the day. I have had these yellow pants since 2019 and I haven’t worn them a single time. Same with the Denim Oversized Jacket. On the other hand, the zebra printed pumps are almost 5 years old. It was indeed the right time to bring out everything that I have never worn before to put together my first outfit of 2021!
I hope you enjoyed the post and my look of the day.
I will see you soon with a new post 🙂
