On the very onset, I wish you all a very Happy New Year! This is my first blog post in 2020, so I wanted to make it special by wearing a polka printed outfit!
For those of you who are new to my blog, Polka and leopard are my favorite prints!
I will talk about my outfit of the day a little later. First let me share with you my reminiscence of the year gone by. 2019 was a good year for me, specially after a very miserable 2018 that I have already talked about on one of my Instagram posts. I started posting on my blog again, made a few YouTube videos, travelled quite a bit and started working as a Digital Consultant alongside my fashion design freelance work.
On the personal front, I took part in my first 5 km run, continued with my fitness regime and have worked on staying happy and positive, which has now turned into an ongoing process. In short I have had a good year and I am really looking forward to 2020 now.
Moving ahead into the new year 2020, I don’t really have any resolutions. Instead I have decided to do things that make me happy and focus on only the good aspects of life. There is one lesson that I learnt last year and wish to share it with you all.
You are responsible for your own happiness!
Instead of waiting for others to make you happy, it is better to do it for our own self. In 2020 I wish to do things that make me happy, be with people that make me happy and go to places that make me happy! As silly as it may sound, in order to stay true to my own decision I wore this polka top on the first blog post of the year, because it made me happy! 🙂
It was my birthday on the Christmas Day. This polka printed top was one of the gifts I received on my birthday along with these cool pair of dark blue denims. I created a retro style with the scarf and borrowed the sunglasses from my sister. We did this photo shoot in Cherrapunjee, a beautiful place in Meghalaya that we visited last week. Pankaj will be talking about it in a travel post soon. Cherrapunjee was very cold at night at the time we visited, but I still managed a photo shoot without wearing any warm clothes during the day.
How do you like my polka outfit of the day?
Time to wrap my first post of the year but stay tuned for a lot more in the future. I intend to be a lot more regular on my blog this year and on my YouTube Channel too.
Before I leave, I wish you, once again, a very Happy and prosperous New Year!
